Traveling to Haig Point starts with your arrival at our Welcome Center and Embarkation on Hilton Head Island. The ten-acre facility includes two reserved parking spots for each member, a personal valet service for transporting cargo, and a relaxing and well-appointed welcome center. The 25-minute ferry to Haig Point's Landing on Daufuskie Island has 18-round trips daily for residents and guests. In addition, residents can take a 5-minute private water taxi to the iconic Harbour Town Marina on Hilton Head Island. The reservation based water taxi service runs 24-hours a day. Best of all, ferry transportation for members and guests is included in your quarterly POA fees and there is only a nominal fee for water taxi service.
Upon arrival, there's an astonishing absence of noise pollution.  Gas-powered vehicles are prohibited, so residents travel around the community by electric golf cart.  It's a peaceful environment like nowhere else.  You truly feel one with nature.

DIRECTIONS TO HAIG POINT embarkation

Savannah Airport to the Haig Point Embarkation/Welcome Center 

Leaving the airport, follow the signs to I-95 North. Continue on I-95 North to Exit 8 and take the Highway 278 Connector to Highway 278. Follow signs to Hilton Head Island. Continue on William Hilton Parkway (Highway 278) until you come to the Cross Island Parkway (stay in the left lane). After paying your $1.25 toll, cross the Charles Fraser Bridge and turn left at the first red light which is Arrow Road. Turn left immediately onto Helmsman Way and you will see the Haig Point Embarkation sign on your right. Go around Haig Point Circle and follow the signs to either the Baggage Drop or Member and Real Estate Guest Parking.

Charleston/Beaufort to the Haig Point Embarkation/Welcome Center

Take Highway 17 South out of Charleston to Route 21 (to Beaufort). Take Route 21 to Highway 170. Follow Highway 170 to Highway 170/278. Take the Hilton Head Island exit (William Hilton Parkway/Highway 278). Continue on William Hilton Parkway (Highway 278) until you come to the Cross Island Parkway (stay in the left lane).
