ADMINISTRATION
Doug Egly
Chief Executive officer
Doug brings a wealth of experience in all facets of club management and real estate development, sales and operations. Most recently, Doug was the General Manager/COO of the prestigious Black Diamond Ranch located near Tampa Bay. He was also Regional Director of Escalante Golf, joining them in 2011 when they acquired Black Diamond, their first club with a residential community.
Originally from Jackson, Michigan, Doug received his BBA from the University of North Texas where he attended on a golf scholarship and remained to coach the Women’s Golf Team. Prior to joining Escalante Golf, Doug spent twelve years with WCI Communities, a premier Florida developer of master planned lifestyle communities and a luxury homebuilder. As a Regional Manager for WCI, Doug was responsible for the start-up and development of three separate communities; Tidewater Preserve, Venetian Golf & River Club and Waterlefe Golf & River Club.

Jeff Smith
Chief Financial Officer
Jeff
brings significant financial management experience within the Hospitality and
Real Estate Development industries. He was a Senior Vice President of the
Tavistock Development Company where he was responsible for the Accounting,
Finance, Treasury, Legal, Risk and Procurement Departments. He was also
the Chief Financial Officer of the Viceroy Hotel Group which has 14 locations
and annual revenues of $350 million.

Marlowe Williams
director of human resources
As the Director of Human Resources, Marlowe is directly responsible for leading the strategic HR initiative as well as overseeing the Talent Management and Organizational Development functions at Haig Point. She brings over 20 years of human resources experience from the Health Care, Hospitality and transportation industries. Marlowe has her MA degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University and in her free time enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

SALES AND MARKETING
Adam Martin
Vice President of sales and marketing
Adam joined the Haig Point team in 2016. He has a background in marketing to an international audience through mixed media. His role at Haig Point includes internal member communications, as well as, attracting prospective new members.

Ryan Dillingham
Broker-in-charge of premier properties by haig point
Ryan has been a low country realtor for over 17 years. He's worked as a broker-in-charge for Premier Properties by Haig Point since January 2018, prior to which he was the broker-in-charge for the Daufuskie Island Land Company. His expertise helps clients list and sell their homes within Haig Point, as well as, find buyers via our Property Tour and Discovery Experience program.

Lauren Hunt
Programming + communications manager
Lauren joined the Haig Point team in 2017 as Marketing Coordinator. In her current role of Programming + Communications Manager, she is responsible for all Member communication both printed and digital, creates and publishes the Haig Point Happenings, handles all social media and creates meaning programming options to enhance Members' lives at Haig Point.

Maria Sawyer
Membership Sales Manager
Maria joined the Haig Point team in 2017 as Membership Sales Manager. In the role, she is responsible for selling equity and non-equity members. Prior to Haig Point, Maria spent more than 15 years in Las Vegas working in various sales capacities for amazing companies like Canyon Ranch, Blue Man Group and the Mob Museum.

Courtney Porter
Realtor Relations and events Manager
Courtney comes to Haig Point with
a background in Event & Hospitality Management. With 11 years of
professional experience in the Hospitality & Country Club industry,
Courtney’s role is to serve as a liaison to our Membership and serves as the point
of contact for new Members and new homeowners in Haig Point.

Scott Hamm, CGCS
Director of Golf course maintenance & grounds
Scott has been a certified golf course superintendent for over 20 years and is certified in Best Management Practices for golf courses. Prior to joining Haig Point in 2016, he was the Director of Golf Development for WCI Communities where he oversaw the development and construction of all their golf courses.

Jay Garrick
Director of Golf
For 10 years, Jay was Director of Golf at The Grandezza Golf Club in Fort Myers, Florida. Jay brings over 30 years of golf operations and high-end private club experience to Haig Point along with an extensive background in teaching, hosting tournaments and merchandising.

Head Golf Professional in charge of revenue generation
John comes to us from Reynolds Lake Oconee Club in Greensboro, GA. John has over 15 years of golf operation, hospitality and revenue management experience.

Ron Gwyn
director of tennis & Wellness
Ron Gwyn has been the Director of Tennis at The Haig Point Club since 1996. Prior to Haig Point, Ron served as the Director of Tennis at The Daufuskie Island Resort and Breathe Spa, Operations manager at Port Royal Racquet Club and the Head Professional at the Shipyard Racquet Club.
In 2006, Ron was the recipient of the United States Professional Tennis Association’s Tennis Professional of the Year for the South Carolina chapter. Ron was awarded the Tester of the Year award in 2012 from the Southern Division of the United States Professional Tennis Association.
He has written articles for such publications as TENNIS MAGAZINE and TENNISPRO and is a national tester for the USPTA and the USRSA.

Rachel Allen
equestrian director
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Rachel Allen graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Spanish Language from the College of Charleston. Rachel has ridden and instructed under trainers of a variety of disciplines since first competing at the age of eight. Having had a European foundation in classical riding, she has excelled at many disciplines throughout her riding career including hunters, jumpers and western pleasure. As an undergraduate, she was a member of the NCAA Women’s Varsity Equestrian team having two National Championships during her tenure as a rider. She has instructed beginner and intermediate riding for top trainers and has worked with horses of all types in both training and conditioning.

Richard Inglis
director of transportation
Richard Inglis has been a commercial waterman for the past 40+ years and has been either a Haig Point Captain or Manager dating back to 1985 when the community was founded. He's operated small fleets of private boats as large as 106' and currently manages the land and water operations for Haig Point. He's responsible for ferries running 18 round trips a day to and from the embarkation facilities, as well as, a 24-hour water taxi service to and from Harbour Town. In his free time he's an active member of the Masonic Lodge and Methodist Church, and even finds time to build his own small craft.

MEMBER SERVICES
Tim Richards
director of property services
As the Director of Property Services at Haig Point, Tim is in charge of Member Services, Front Desk, Lodging, Facilities Maintenance and the administration of the Architectural Review Board. Tim is originally from Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Early in his career he worked in the hotel industry and owned a restaurant in the Silicon Valley of California. After a two-year stint in Spain, Tim returned to the USA and entered the Private Club and Community Industry. Tim is the State licensed Property Manager In-Charge for Haig Point. He carries National Board Certification in Community Association Management. He is a member of the Club Managers Association of America and the Community Association Management Institute.
